When was the last time you needed to purchase a major appliance?

For some reason it seems that happens every few years in my household. Be it a washer, dryer, dishwasher, or even garbage disposal. There’s always something happening where a new appliance is worth the cost of fixing the parts of what is already there.

There’s also an aesthetic attribute that weighs in. As you replace appliances you may be looking to give your kitchen a refreshing new look with stainless steel. As soon as you start that trend you look forward to the day the next appliance will go out so you can replace it too.

Some may remember the counter-top replacement done in 2018.

With that project came an opportunity to replace the dishwasher. And was it in need of it. Dishes were not being cleaned and I felt so sorry for my last renters to have to endure the inadequate job it was doing. I preferred to just wash the dishes by hand versus wasting the water with that dishwasher.

As we were shopping for that new unit, many makes and models were available. After doing the research we settled on a unit that has turned out to be a real blessing. It is so silent you don’t even know it is on. But, now as I reflect on the recent downturn in the economy, I see one sticker on that new dishwasher that warms my heart.

This whole unit is ‘Made in America’. I think it is time we start looking for more of these stickers. Let’s put our workers back to work and be thankful for all God has blessed us with as a nation.

Let us not be a prideful nation for we will not recover without the grace of God. We are still “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” Together, as one nation, let us turn back to our roots. Let us honor God with our hard work, our toil, our working the field of dreams, and our everlasting resolve to keep America as one nation giving glory and praise to a God who loves us.
