Is quid pro quo treason?

Can a man who has committed crimes of treason become a President of the United States?

According to some, there is a person who holds the highest office in the land who has committed treasonous acts. To clarify though, committing treason and being convicted of treason are two different events. Until a man is convicted of treason, they can hold any public office as long as the people elect them and they are not charged.

In this piece by State of the Nation they discuss the quid pro quo that our new president used with Ukraine to have a prosecutor removed while looking into irregularities with a company his son was associated with.

But, to date, the Attorney General has not charged any crimes associated with the self incriminating video that was released. Just watch the video.

And in this version of Swamp Watch, Fox News lays out the Biden Ukraine Timeline. All of this information was available before the 2020 election and still we are led to believe over 80M Americans voted for the person who openly admits to quid pro quo.

Swamp Watch: The Bidens and Ukraine

Joe Biden, acting in his official capacity of Vice President of the United States of America, bribed the Ukraine government in order to compel President Petro Poroshenko to fire the General Prosecutor.  This criminal act was carried out with the explicit intent to terminate the ongoing criminal investigation of Burisma Holdings Limited, as well as to stop the investigation and avert the prosecution of his son—Board Director Hunter Biden.

And this is shared by many news sources. Peter Schweizer explained how Joe Biden’s family members monetized political influence in a video interview with Breitbart News.

The main question is really whether what is portrayed here really represents treasonous offenses. What is treason?

As this recent Saturday Evening Post article states “The Constitution, in Article III, is quite clear on what treason involves. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. “

In this Saturday Evening Post article it also states “The overt act of treason must show criminal intent and support the accomplishment of a crime. The Constitution requires both concrete action and intent to betray the nation for a conviction of treason.”

I don’t think the actions with Ukraine constitute the grounds for treason. As an example, if China or Iran had conspired with someone in the US to modify votes in an election in order to prop up their own individual or party to put in place in America, then you would have something closer to treason being warranted. But the article goes even further by saying:

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States and having knowledge of the commission of any treason against them, conceals and does not, as soon as may be, disclose and make known the same to the President or to some judge of the United States, or to the governor or to some judge or justice of a particular State, is guilty of misprision of treason and shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than seven years, or both.

Well, taking our analogy even a step further, we now see that anyone who had knowledge of the treasonous act or was involved with the act, they too may be prosecuted. This would mean that anyone in Congress who openly conspired with the enemy in modifying votes in the US elections while working with enemies of the US can now be put in prison for 7 years.

Has any of this been reviewed by a court of law? Has any charges been made? I think we are in for a bumpy ride in America. Buckle up and put your seat belt on America..
