The Great Monarch Prophecies

With the craziness that is going on in the world today, I’ve been approached by others asking “What is about to happen?  It just feels like something is about to happen.”  or “The End is Here!” or “The Rapture of the Church will happen tomorrow. Are you ready?” I try to reassure people that there is a lot, I mean a lot of things that need to happen before Christ returns. A very simple examination of chapters 18-22 of the last book in the Bible does a very adequate job of laying out a timeline for if and when the rapture will happen and when “the dead will stand before the throne, and the books” are opened. (Rev 22:12)

But God has a way of sending messengers to add clarity to real dire events and how we as God’s people are to respond. Fatima 1917 was a great example of God sending a Miracle to try and wake up a slumber church and to recognize the events about to unfold.

In 1917, the messengers were three young children and they relayed all the messages being received to the authorities in the church. One future event that was foretold to them by Our Lady of Fatima was that if mankind did not change it’s ways, a future war would happen as great as the first World War. She said when you see strange lights in the northern sky the war would soon commence. Shortly after mankind witnessed the phenomena called “The Northern Lights” WWII started.

Other messengers have discussed timelines of future events. One such event repeated by the blessed and Saints over and over since the 4th century is that a Great Monarch will arise who will rule similar to Charlemagne, the king of the franks. Specifically, the prophecies discuss someone who will take the crown of the lillies, the symbolism for the french monarchy. A consistent theme in these prophecies is that the Great Monarch will save Western Christian Civilization.

There are many discussing when and where this will happen. Some think it will happen very soon. Others think it is happening right now. Out of the world leaders today, is there anyone who is trying to save Western Christian Civilization from the civilization collapse that seems to be happening in real-time?

If the Great Monarch is among us like some think, then that helps calibrate where we are in the eschatological calendar. In my series on the End Times, I discuss those events that are reported to happen before the revealing of the Antichrist. And the end can not come before the Antichrist.

Some of the recorded prophecies of the Great Monarch are:

In the book Catholic Prophecy by Yves Dupont, the earliest known prophecy is from St. Methodius of the 4th century who said:

“A day will come when the enemies of Christ will boast of having conquered the whole world. They will say: “Christians can not escape now!” But a Great King will arise to fight the enemies of God. He will defeat them, and peace will be given to the world, and the Church will be freed from her anxieties. “

and there are these from the 17th and 18th centuries:

“46.1 Venerable Bartholomew Holzhauser (Born in the 17th century, in Germany). “The fifth period of the Church, which began circa 1520, will end with the arrival of the Holy Pope and of the powerful Monarch who is called “Help From God” because he will restore everything [in Christ].”

46.11 “The powerful Monarch, who will be sent by God, will uproot every republic. He will submit everything to his authority, and he will show great zeal for the true Church of Christ. The empire of the Mohammedans will be broken up, and this Monarch will reign in the East as well as in the West. All nations will come to worship God…”

“40. Capuchin Friar (18th century). “A scion of the Carolingian race, by all considered extinct, will come to … destroy the Ottoman Empire and all heresies. With the assistance of God and of the Pope, he will cooperate in the reformation of abuses; he will assume the direction of temporal governments… And they all will live in peace which shall last till the End of Time.”
