Several recent podcasts paint a very gloomy picture of the increasing liberal bias in our public school system. It begs the question, “Should we home school our children?”
This page addresses that topic and it includes those recent podcasts that seem to be sounding an alarm for all mothers and fathers to take responsibility to raise their children in their own beliefs and values.
The first webcast is from Jordan Peterson. Keep in mind this was published in 2017. His views are only more valid today than they were then.
Psychology Professor Dr. Jordan B. Peterson explores reasons for homeschooling, but also the possibly overwhelming challenges that come along with it.
The next podcast is from a very conservative figure who speaks with the same grace as Mother Angelica.
Listen to Mother Miriam’s Live show from 8.23.2019. She continues to talk about the evils of public schools, especially liberal indoctrination. She discusses the need to know what your children are learning, even if they are enrolled in a Catholic or religious school. She lists all the reasons to be concerned about having your kids in public elementary education.
She also advises on what movies to watch. A lot of encouragement for the movie ‘Unplanned’ If you haven’t seen it, you should.
The message in common between both podcasts is to be active in your child’s education. Know the school, but know the teachers even better.
If you do decide to home school, it will be tough. But, it will be rewarding as well. Rewarding for you, and especially rewarding for them.
